San Sebastian or Donostia - as the Basque People prefer to call
it - is a beautiful and vibrant city on the Atlantic Coast of Northern
Spain. The beaches that lie just in the center of the city are among
the best in Spain. Apart from bathing, playing, reading etc. the donostiarras use
their beaches as pedestrian boulevards where the can see each
other and be
seen. San Sebastian is also the place to taste Spain´s best tapas (small
dishes) - locally known as pintxos.
Along the coastline you can find several pieces of art as
e.g. the famous El Peine del Viento by Eduardo Chillida.
